Ziggy's Wacky World Tour

Searching for the Sun

Ziggy is from the Planet Zog and is on his way to the beach for his hols with his mate Zag when all of sudden his ship crash lands in no other than ...Skegness! All very well but the trouble is ...Where on Earth is the Sun? It seems every day is a rainy day except for ...The Wacky World of Ziggy's Wild Imagination!

The show also emphasises the value that that we place on ourselves encouraging a healthy self esteem and the importance of friendship.

There is an old proverb that says "A wise teacher makes learning enjoyable" In another words, if children can learn without realising it, then you have had great success. We can offer programmes that are full of fun and are educational and motivational as well. J.P. has had 10 years experience in Theatre in Education covering a wide variety of topics including :

  • Building self esteem,
  • Reading shows,
  • Creative puppetry
  • and many fun shows, especially at Christmas time.

The Family Fundraising Magic Show will be of special interest to schools who are seeking to raise money for their school with the least hassle at the same time provide valuable family entertainment in your school community.

 

Louder Than Words Mime Workshop

Rachel Smart graduated with a three year diploma in mime having studied the techniques of Marcel Marceau, along with dance and drama. She has toured schools since 1996, throughout the UK, USA, and New Zealand.

In Rachel's workshops children will have a whole world of imagination opened up to them, and discover ways to express their emotions and ideas in a unique way.

In a two hour workshop children will:

  • Enjoy an interactive demonstration of mime in which they will all participate
  • Take part in games encouraging creativity through physical expression
  • Learn mime techniques as passed down by Marcel Marceau
  • Learn to co-operate with other pupils in devising original work
  • Gain confidence through presenting their work to an audience

Topics include:

  • Statues- learning to use the positioning of the body to express feelings
  • Rhythms- learning to use the movement of the body to express feelings
  • Characters- learn to become a character; young or old, animal or superhero.
  • Illusions- Classic mime illusion fun such as the wall and rope
  • Improvisation- gaining the confidence to be expressive through fun and games

Workshops are best suited to Keystage 2. After School clubs are also available.
